Orientation for development of space of Van Don EZ is divided into 2 regions, including Cai Bau island and Van Hai archipelago, which are oriented into 5 development belts: high-class ecological convalescence; ecotourism in association with protection of natural heritage; urban services, culture, entertainment; services, commerce, high-tech industry and logistics; expanding west reserve.

Urban development of Van Don EZ is characterized by sea and islands, associated with the image of Bai Tu Long Bay with an attractive system of rocky islands. Each specific area is selected to build its own development image associated with its function of operation.

On the basis of reporting ideas of the consulting unit, the meeting participants focused on discussing, analyzing and evaluating objectively the planning scheme.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Doc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, requested that the consulting unit absorb the opinions of the members of the Provincial Standing Committee, quickly adjust and complete improvement of planning adjustment project.
